Van Alstyne - Services for Mrs. Minnie Lee Martin, 78, Van Alstyne housewife who died Thursday at a nursing home here, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Flesher Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jerry Scott and Rev. Bob Milligan, Baptist ministers. Burial will be at Van Alstyne Cemetery. A Texas native, Mrs. Martin was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Neal and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Van Alstyne. Surviving are husband, James M. Martin; daughters, Mrs. Shirley Cox of Houston, Mrs. Lucy Jamison of Blue Ridge, Mrs. June Ringness of Irving, and Mrs. Mary Ruth McKinney of Liberty; sons, James Martin and Aubrey Martin, both of Van Alstyne, Cecil Martin of Gainesville, Doyle Martin of Grand Prairie, Marion Martin of Sherman and Chester Martin of Clarkston, Wash.; sisters, Miss Artie Priddy of Sherman and Mrs. Irma Glasclow of Dallas; brother, Laymond Priddy of Coleyville; 32 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
