Bio
Daughter of John S. & Katherine (Bogus) Shemek. She was raised in Tarnov where she graduated from St. Michael the Archangel Parochial School. She married Casimir Leonard Lassek on February 10, 1931 in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Tarnov. Helen and her husband lived and farmed in the Fullerton, Genoa, Polk County, Tarnov, Duncan, and Columbus areas throughout their life before retiring to Columbus in 1972. Helen was a homemaker and worked as a waitress for 17 years at various places. She was a member and did volunteer work at St. Anthony Catholic Church and belonged to St. Theresa Sodality. She enjoyed collecting glass antiques and going to auction/garage sales. Helen is survived by: Son Ronald C. Lassek of Ft. Worth, TX Daughter Gloria M. (William) Brandenburgh of Bellwood, NE Daughter Elaine K. Hall of Omaha, NE Daughter Jeanne M. (Bob) Akerley of Parker, CO 7- Grandchildren 13- Great Grandchildren 2-Step-Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by: Husband Casimir L. Lassek Father John S.
