Daughter of Joseph and Aloysia (Olsovsky) Halata Married Edwin Fred Anders, Nov 11, 1940 Mary J. Anders, 83, of Weimar died Feb. 17 at Parkview Manor due to a long illness. Funeral services were held Feb. 19 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father John Bily officiating. Interment followed in St. Michael Cemetery. Organist for the service was Annette Coerver. Soloist was Nancy Rosenauer performing "Amazing Grace," "Be Not Afraid," "How Great Thou Art" and "Here I Am Lord." Dan Mueller gave the eulogy. Altar servers were Clay Bittner, Jonathan Hadash, Willie Janecka and Corey Divin. Lector was Heather Koenig. Eucharistic minister was Betty Hattermann. Offertory gifts were present by Kellie Hattermann, Erin Anders, Christi Anders, Tiffany Anders, granddaughters of Mrs. Anders. She was born Feb. 10, 1917 in Swiss Alp, Fayette County, to Joseph and Aloysia Olsovsky Halata. She married Edwin F. Anders on Nov. 11, 1940 in Moravia at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters. She was a resident of this area for 59 years. Survivors include: her husband; daughters, Linda Radke and husband Al Wayne of Columbus, Mary Louise Mueller and husband Alvin of Weimar; sons, Edwin Joe Anders and wife Rita of Weimar, and Alan W. Anders and wife Sandra of Katy; a brother, Rev. Wm. Halata of Moravia; sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Bernice) Novak of Pearland and Mrs. Charles (Leona) Sooter of Los Angeles, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Halata and a sister Ollie Pohl. Pallbearers were Scott Radke, Todd Radke, Lee Mueller, Kyle Mueller, Jim Anders and Brian Anders, grandsons of Mrs. Anders. Weimar Mercury, February 2000
