Posted: Friday, October 22, 1993 Lewiston Morning Tribune The funeral for Lewiston homemaker Josephine Martha Frances Sharp will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Malcom's Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel at Lewiston. The Rev. Howard Hopkins of First Church of the Nazarene at Lewiston will officiate. Sharp died of pneumonia Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center at Lewiston. She was 65. She was born Aug. 6, 1928, at Hemingford, Neb., to William D. and Sophia Matousek Sharp. She lived with her family in various towns in Nebraska before coming in 1932 to Salmon, Idaho, where she began her schooling. The family later lived at Gooding, Idaho, and moved in 1940 to Grangeville, where she completed her schooling. They later lived in Stites and Clark Fork, Idaho, before settling in Lewiston in 1957. She was a baptized member of the Nazarene Church and enjoyed books, music, walking, traveling and visiting with people. Survivors include her mother, Sophia I. Matousek Sharp of Lewiston; two brothers, William J.D. Sharp of Tokeland, Wash., and Robert D.E. Sharp of Weippe; and two sisters, Lois Miller and Beulah Moore, both of Pasco, Wash. Two sisters and an infant brother died previously. Burial will be at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens at Lewiston. The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 901 N. Curtis Road, Boise, Idaho 83706 or to St. Joseph Family Hospice, P.O. Box 816, Lewiston 83501.
