''''''''''''''''''''''' The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), October 13, 1983, p. 16, col. 5 & 6 MARY TERESA FOSTER Mary Teresa Foster of Seward, 85, formerly of Ulysses, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Seward Memorial Hospital. Services were held at the Methodist Church in Ulysses on Oct. 1 with the Rev. Connie Nothstine officiating. Mrs. Betty Gravel, organist, accompanied Gary Portenier, soloist. Grandsons were casket bearers, Arthur, Jim, Roy, Jerry Dobrusky, Mark Gravel and Edward Murphy. Burial was in the Ulysses Township Cemetery. Mary, the daughter of Karl and Marie Novak Slama, was born Nov. 10, 1897, in Moravia, Czechoslovakia. She came to the United States with her father and stepmother in 1905 and moved to a farm east of Ulysses in 1909. She was united in marriage to Charles T. Dobrusky on June 5, 1915. One son was born to this union. Mr. Dobrusky died Sept. 26, 1919. For many years she was a clerk in a dry goods store in David City and in a grocery store in Ulysses. She was united in marriage to Arthur B. Foster at Ulysses on August 29, 1927. Three daughters were born to this union. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters and her husband, Arthur, on Jan. 29, 1965. She is survived by her son, Eman Dobrusky of Seward; daughters, Mrs. Bob (Helen) Gravel of Ulysses, and twin daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Maxine) Turek of Seward and Mrs. Tony (Nadine) Truksa of Ulysses; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mrs. Otto (Mollie) Vondra of Wyoming; other relatives and many friends. ___ col. 4 CARD OF THANKS – The family of Mary Foster wish to thank our many relatives, friends, and neighbors for cards, memorials, flowers, food and words of sympathy after the death of our dear mother.
