Ulysses Dispatch (Ulysses, Nebr.), October 2, 1919, p. 1, col. 2 CHARLES F. DOBRINSKY Charles F. Dobrinsky was born at Prague, Nebraska, December 11, 1893 and died at his home near Garrison, Friday, September 26, 1919, aged 25 years, 3 months and 15 days. There are left to mourn his departure his widow and his baby son of two years, his parents, who live at Dwight and six brothers and two sisters. They are: Emanuel, James, Gustave and Alfred of Dwight, Albin of Bee and Ralph of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The sisters are Mrs. Bessie Buchta of North Bend and Mrs. Silvia Bhaloupek of Dwight. The circumstances attendant upon the death of Mr. Dobrinsky were peculiarly sad as he was ill but a short while. He drove to Ulysses last Thursday night in his car and became quite ill during the same evening when he was taken to Dr. Stanard's office where he soon revived and later drove to his home. Later in the evening he suffered repeated attacks. Both the physician and Father Loughran were called but before they could reach the home the young man had passed to the other world, death having resulted from a hemorrhage of a blood vessel. The young widow, the baby, the parents and all the surviving relatives have the condolence of their many friends in the early passing of their loved one in the dawn of his early manhood. The deceased was married to Miss Mary Slama June 3, 1915. One little son came to bless their home, who, with his mother will long for the touch of a vanished hand and sigh for the voice that is still. Mr. Dobrinsky at one time operated a meat market at Dwight and was a frequent visitor at Ulysses where he had the respect of all those who knew him. Of late he had been engaged in farming near Garrison. The funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 11 o'clock Sunday morning, the Rev. Father Loughran officiating at a Requiem High Mass. The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary's cemetery near Ulysses. "Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord and may Light perpetual shine upon him." Our fireside has an empty chair, Our hopeful dreams have fled, Leaving us naught but sadness And tender memories of the dead. Into each life some rain must fall Some mingled joy and sorrow; But afterwards the sunshine comes, The cheerful, bright tomorrow. All the sunshine follows the shadow, May the light of an endless day Guide and protect the loved ones, 'Til death's angel shall call them away. - Edith B. London.
