Paul V. Norrell, 77, Stillwater, formerly of Ada, died in an Oklahoma City hospital after a long illness. He was born in Texas and came to Ada when he was 18 to join his brother, Byron, then publisher of the Ada Evening News. He and Gertie Price were married here just before World War I. They had two sons, Paul Richard and Glen Ray, who was killed during World War II. The Norrells remained in Ada until Paul was ready for college and then moved to Stillwater. Mr. Norrell worked in the OSU printing department. Later, he was transferred to Okmulgee Tech as an instructor in linotype and the printing arts. Four years ago, they returned to Stillwater when he retired. Survivors include his wife, Gertie, of the home in Stillwater; a son, Paul, Florida; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and a nephew. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by a Stillwater funeral home. The body will be brought here for burial in Rosedale Cemetery.
