Bio

Mrs. Ruby Mae (Childress) Hargus, 99, Marshfield, MO, was born April 5, 1913 to Robert and Mattie (Julian) Childress on the childress fruit farm in Diggins, MO., and departed this life December 24, 2012. At the time of her passing she was 99 years of age. Ruby ran the Marshfield Café with her husband for many years. She then worked for OACAC Head Start. She attended SMS in her 60's. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Hargus, parents, and seven siblings. Survivors include four children; Clydene Hargus Reznicek , Jefferson City, MO, Julian D. Hargus and wife Linda, Jefferson City, MO, Stanley W. Hargus and wife Linda, Seattle, Washington, and Rebecca Hargus Yeubanks and husband Michael, Springfield, MO, ten grandchildren; Michael, Paul, Steven, and Robert Reznicek, Diana, Robert, and Lisa Hargus, and Amy Yeubanks Lenox, Bradley and Mark Yeubanks, fifteen great grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Lora Childress Gault, California, Lora Childress Collins, Henderson, Nevada, and one brother; Herman Childress, Branson, MO. Services for Ruby Mae(Childress) Hargus will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, MO, with Rev. Alex Ruth officiating. Visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Marshfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Historical Society or Senior Citizens and left in care with the funeral home.
