Bio
Eugene Leland Rone, 63, a former Gorman resident, died Saturday morning in a Veterans Administration hospital at Ft. Lyons, Colo., after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Gorman Cemetery. The Rev. Joe O'Neal, pastor of the Kokomo Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be directed by Higginbotham Funeral home. Mr. Rone was born Oct., 30, 1910, at Sweetwater, and was a retired farmer. Survivors are two brothers, O.B. Rone of Gorman and Raymond of Fort Worth; a sister, Mrs. Otis Jordan of Eastland; and two half-brothers, Wayne Rone of Gorman and Burgess Rone of California.
