Married to Sandra Kay Trayler David R. Smith passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Graham. Interment will be in Winn Hill Cemetery in Jack County. Family visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home. David was born July 17, 1942 in Chico, Texas and was a long time resident of Graham. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Graham, a life member of the National Rifle Association, a little league baseball coach for many years and a major supporter of 4-H and FFA. He was a small business owner and a farmer and rancher. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Smith of Graham; 5 sons, Christopher David Smith and wife Beverly of Graham, Jeffrey Allen Smith and wife Misty of Graham, Michael Ray Smith and wife Brenda of Jacksboro, Louis Scott Smith of Graham, Patrick Shane Smith and wife Stormy of Chillicothe; daughter, Shelly Kay Walls and husband Bryan of Graham; brother, John Paul Smith of Loving; sister, Ruby Bernice Clay and husband Charlie of Jacksboro; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Robert and Ruby Vera Smith and by three brothers, Louis, Robert and Buddy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Graham Regional Hospice, 523 Elm Street, Graham, TX 76450.
