Mrs. Tallat's [sic] funeral held here Monday Mrs. Lucy Katherine Tallant, 90 of Princeton, died early Sunday in Wysong hospital. She was a native of Arkansas, born Dec. 1, 1877, and had lived in Collin County for 60 years. She was a member of the Princeton Methodist church. She married John Tallant in 1894 in Arkansas. He preceded her death. Survivors include three brothers, Andrew, Sterling and Lawrence Short, all of Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. George Tallant of Princeton and Mrs. Beulah Jester of Arkansas and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in Turrentine-Jackson Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, Revs. Gene Welborn and S. D. Lindsey officiating. Interment was in the Princeton cemetery.
