Joseph Godwin Dies Monday At Home In Princeton Joseph Wells Godwin, 89, died at his home in Princeton January 1, 1845. [sic 1962] A retired farmer, he was born October 10, 1872 in Alabama, son of J. A. and Catherine Lynn Godwin. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Godwin; four daughters, Mrs. Emma Hamor, Carthage, Mo.; Mrs. Effie Caves, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Ruby Rogers, Princeton; Mrs. Margie Poston, McKinney; seven sons, Albert Godwin, Minden, La; Jack Godwin, Odessa; O. B. and Marion Godwin, Richland, Wash., Virgil Godwin, Littlefield, Ernest Godwin, Irving; James Godwin, Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Sibbie Wilson, Hugo, Okla.; Mrs. Bertha Evans, Princeton; Mrs. Katy Turner, McKinney; four brothers, Ben and Johnny Godwin, Princeton; Dick Godwin, Hugo, Okla.; Britt Godwin, Antlers, Okla.; 35 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
