Bio
Funeral services for Ms. Lela G. Eubank were held Thursday, January 23, 1975, at 2:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church of Shamrock. Rev. Jim Scott, pastor, officiated. Paul O'Neal, Gary Massey, Herman Bell Jr., Jerry Barrett, Vernon Kirklin, David Kirby, Wylie Curl and Rubin Morris Jr. served as pallbearers. Interment was in Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Richerson Funeral Home. Mrs. Eubank died Monday, January 20, at 4:40 a.m. in Shamrock General Hospital following a short illness. Born October 14, 1905, in Myra, Texas, she same to Wheeler County when a child. In 1950 she moved to California and returned to Wheeler County approximately two years ago. Miss Lela G. Bartley and Robert A Eubank were married March 17, 1923 in Sayre, Oklahoma. He died in 1956. Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Bill Smith of Shamrock and Mrs. Zona Thomas of Sacramento, California; one son, Richard Eubank of Ridgecrest, California; three sisters: Mrs. Addie Morris of Sayre, Oklahoma, Mrs. Myrtle Bell of Memphis; and Mrs. Bertha Bright, Altus, Okla; two brothers: Floyd Bartley of Amarillo and Lloyd Bartley of Memphis, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
