Bio

The Texas Spur, March 9, 1950: Funeral services were held for W.H. Bateman, Saturday, March 11, at 3 p.m. in the Duncan Flat Baptist Church. Rev. A.P. Stokes and Roy Boles officiated the services. Mr. Bateman was born in Hopkins County, Texas, March 7, 1889. He married Miss Nellie Ingram in 1914 in Hopkins County and in 1916 they moved to Dickens County where they had made their home for 34 years. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Tiny Beth of Glenn, and Mrs. Jane Holliday of Clovis, N.M.; and two sons, Carroll of Glenn and Wayne of Clovis, N.M. ; also seven grandchildren.
