Funeral Services for Mrs. Heroise Thornton Smith, 85, will be held at 10 AM Saturday January 2, 2010 in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home. officiating the service will be Rev. Paul Perry and Donald Ashley. Interment will follow at Epps Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born on January 28, 1924 to the parents of James E. and Agatha Hayman Thornton. She died Thursday December 31, 2009 at Saint Francis Medical Center Monroe. She was a resident of Gilbert, Louisiana and a homemaker. She was one of ten children. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert B. Smith. Survivors include her children James A. Smith of Pioneer, Wanda Baum and husband Gerald of Winnsboro, Linda Robinson of West Monroe, Rodgerick Smith and wife Cindy of Saint Francisville. Also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Pallbeaers were Don Ashley, Clayton E.
