Josephine Puetz, 82, Mitchell, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at her home in Mitchell. Funeral services will be Monday, 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6-8PM Sunday evening with a Scripture Service at 6:30PM at the Bittner Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund has been established to Holy Family Catholic Church for their new gathering area. Josephine Catherine Puetz was born March 19, 1925 to Mary and Henry Herrmann of Dimock, SD. She married Clarence Puetz on February 7, 1946 in Whittier, CA. Jo and Clarence moved back to Mitchell in 1951 and started Puetz Construction together, where she was actively involved in the financial management of the company. She enjoyed spending time with family and many close friends and was an avid card player and loved to read. She was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Clarence; one son, Wayne and his wife, Mary, Mitchell, SD; four grandchildren: Amy Novak and her husband, Ken, Mitchell, SD, Emily Puetz, Minneapolis, MN, Melanie Mullenmeister and husband, Scott, Mitchell, SD and Mark Puetz and wife, Katie, St. Louis Park, MN. She has eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Virginia Hall and husband, Don, Steptoe, WA, Marie Gordon, Mitchell; and three brothers: Elmer Hermann and friend, Pat, Mitchell, SD, Charlie Herrmann and wife, Shirley, Mitchell, SD and Jim Herrmann and wife, Darlene, Sioux Falls, SD and one brother-in-law, Bill Reinartz, Portland OR and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Florence Reinartz and her brother, Don Herrmann.
