Bio

Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), May 2, 1906, p. 7, col. 5 Agnes, the 18 year old daughter of Mrs. Frank Tomanek who resided with her mother three miles south of Linwood met death last Monday evening while crossing a slew on her return home from milking the cows. Her sister, about 12 years old was with her at the time, but she crossed the water without injury. As soon as Agnes fell into the water her sister ran home to give the alarm but before help could reach the scene of the accident the girl had been drowned and her body could not be found until yesterday morning. When found the body was ¾ mile from where the accident occurred. Funeral services will be held at her home at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. The deceased helped her mother in many ways and was one of her chief means of support, and for that reason her untimely death is a sad blow to her mother and sisters.
