Grand Island Independent, The (NE) - Friday, December 10, 2004 MASON CITY -- Enid Lucas, 89, of Mason City died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Jennie Melham Medial Center in Broken Bow. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Baptist Church in Mason City, with the Rev. John Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Mason City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church. Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lucas was born Oct. 22, 1915, south of Litchfield to Alfred Charles and Catherine Almina (Fread) Royle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, on Dec. 5, 1989. Survivors of the immediate family include three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Roger Johnson, and Janice and Judson Burns, all of Mason City, and Peggy and Rick Horn of Kenesaw.
