Virgie Dobbs Burroughs Mrs. Virgie Burroughs, 98, of Gallatin died Feb. 7, 2003. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, at Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Dean Dyer and Elder Larry Cole officiating. Burial was in Rock Bridge Cemetery. Mrs. Burroughs was preceded in death by her parents, Hurley Linville and Daisy Carr Linville; her husband, Howard Burroughs; first husband, Wade Dobbs; sons, Garland and Wallace Dobbs; daughters, Maureen Neel and Helen Cole; sisters, Avie McWhirter, Mary Lou Flatt, and Gladys Howser. She is survived by her sisters, Rosie Linville of Westmoreland and Macie Hickman of Joelton; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren. Published Feb. 10, 2003
