From Moberly Monitor-Index, Wednesday, 3-29-1995 FRANCES FOWLKES M. Frances Brockman Fowlkes, 73, of Moberly died Tuesday morning in Moberly Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Fowlkes was born July 3. 1921. in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Grover and Annie Belle Spicer Brockman. She had worked for the former Brown Shoe Company and was a cook at the former Mears Drug Store in Moberly seven years before serving 18 years as a sales clerk for K-Mart in Waterloo, Iowa. Mrs. Fowlkes was a member of the North Park Baptist Church. On June 28, 1953, she and Archie Clifton Fowlkes were married at Hardy, AR. He died Jan. 8, 1990. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Surviving are three brothers, Jake Brockman of Huntsville, Earl Brockman of Moberly and Larry Brockman of Columbia; two sisters, Betty Alexander of Moberly and Ruby Tipton of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in North Park Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cater's.
