Bio

Marquis was first married to Sarah Clark Reidinger, born c. 1845. Marquis remarried in 1895. I do not know when she died or where she is buried. I am guessing she is buried at the Reidinger Cemetery that is on the old Fort McClellan in Anniston, Calhoun Co., AL. Enlisted February 23, 1863 at Shelbyville, Ky in the CSA by Col Dennett, for 2 years. Pvt Co K 24th AL Appears on a Roll of Prisoners of War paroled by Brevt. Brig. Gen'l M. H. Chrysler, commanding US Forces at Talladega, AL roll date Talladega, AL June 29, 1865 When paroled May 22, 1865 Where paroled Talladega, AL Was wounded in the leg at Shiloh
