Bio

In the part of Butler county, north of Morgantown, once stood a school called "LeGrand School". This school was later changed to Welch's Creek of Chapel Union School. It stood across from the LeGrand Chapel church. Coleman LeGrand was buried in the Old Chapel Union cemetery in Butler county. Dates from his stone are born 1815, died May 1, 1904. His second wife "Elizabeth Harmon" was buried beside him.
