Seward County Independent (Seward, Nebr.), August 19, 1987, p. 16, col. 2 DEATHS Aloisie Agnes Purtek, 86, died at St. Joseph’s Villa in David City. She was born Aug. 15, 1900, at Dwight to Anton and Anna (Pavel) Nemec. She attended rural school southeast of Dwight. She married Joe Purtek on Jan. 17, 1943 in Dwight. The couple lived on a farm south of Ulysses until his death, when she moved to Ulysses. She had been a resident of David City nursing homes since 1973. She was a member of the Catholic church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe in 1961; brothers, Frank and Anton; sisters, Mary Kouma, Antonetta Dolezal, Anna Vavra, stepdaughter Mildred Hruska. She is survived by two stepchildren, Joseph Purtek, St. Joseph, Mo., Agnes Urbanek, Columbus; a sister-in-law, Minnie Nemec, Seward; 15 step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews. Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1987, at Immaculate Conception Church, Ulysses. Pallbearers were Joseph Vavra, Ray Pekarek, Jerome Urbanek, Edward Kouma, James Herniceck and Roland Vrbka. Burial was at the Catholic Cemetery, Ulysses.
