Bio
The funeral for George R. Patterson, 65, of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Kasey Harbin officiating. Burial will be at the Roselawn Cemetery. He was born April 17, 1939 in Limestone County to Douglas and Geneva Patterson. He was the former owner of Automotive Parts Co., in Athens. He retired in 2001. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rachel Marie Gaston Patterson. He is survived by a son G. Brian Patterson of Athens; a daughter, Nicole P. Beasley of Athens; a brother, Charles W. Patterson of Athens; and four grandchildren, Douglas Patterson, Brittany Wiseheart, John Beasley and Justin Beasley. Pallbearers will be Jimmy White, Dale Carter, Billy Adams, Stanley Britton, Ralph Lee and David Gaston.
