Bio
Martha Jane began her life in Macon County, Tennessee, the daughter of Henry Ramsey and Harriett Numbley, and the second of four children born to the couple, son Jesse B,and daughters Martha Jane, Dora and Mary. In about 1852 the couple and their two children, son Jesse and Martha, moved to Deer Creek, Tazewell County, Illinois. Here the two youngest children, Dora and Mary, were born. The family stayed in Tazewell county for two decades. Martha Jane married John Minnich January 9, 1868 in Tazewell County, Illinois. They had 6 children, 5 of which are known to me. They moved to Neosho County, Kansas in the late 1880s. They spent the remainder of their life in the Thayer area of Neosho County.
