Mildred Novy Jordan, 77, passed away in Tyler, Texas on Sunday, October 14, 2012.Mildred was born in Crisp, Texas on September 28, 1935 to Frank and Emilie (Galetka) Novy. She grew up in Crisp and graduated from St. John High School in 1953. In 1954 she married Herbert "Herb" Jordan and they made their home in Ennis, Waxahachie, Mesquite and finally to Big Sandy in 1986.She worked for Lone Star Gas Company for many years as a clerk. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Gilmer and also attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Holly Lake. She was a former member of St. John Catholic Church of Ennis. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, shopping and fellowshipping with friends on trips to the casinos.She is survived by sons: Michael Jordan and his wife, Debbie and Frankie Jordan and his wife, Janet; daughter, Ginger Mallett; seven grandchildren: eight great-grandchildren: brother, Danny Novy and his wife, Pat along with one sister, Patsy Spaniel and her husband, Charlie.She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in June of 2001, one brother, Eugene Novy and his wife, Mary Lou.Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. with Rosary at 1:15 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2 p.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery of Ennis with Father John Dick officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
