Dorothy Parks Jenkins, 83, of Altus passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the English Village Nursing Home in Altus. She was born to the late James DeMarcas and Artha Lee Sledge on February 4, 1929, in Eldorado, Oklahoma. Dorothy married the late Raymond Parks on December 20, 1947, in Altus, where they resided throughout their married life. Dorothy worked for 22 years at J.C. Penney where she enjoyed serving the public and the lifelong friendships that she developed. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she treasured the Mary Sunday school class. Dorothy was a member of American Business Women's Association and the Erolethian Club. She married James Jenkins June 15, 2004, in Claremore, Oklahoma.
