Bio
Delores Irene (Paschke) Kliewer, the daughter of Elmer Henry and Doris Eva (Price) Paschke, was born five miles south of Polk, NE. in the family home in York County, NE. on December 8, 1931 and passed away in Aurora, NE. on October 13, 2012. Delores grew up on the family farm northwest of Aurora, NE. She graduated from Aurora (NE.) High School in 1949. Delores worked in Lincoln, NE. briefly before returning to Aurora, NE. Delores was united in marriage to George J. Kliewer on September 24, 1950, at the Monroe Evangelical Free Church at Phillips, NE. They farmed, raised livestock and five children on a farm near Stockham, NE. In 1987 they moved to Aurora, NE. George passed away on August 27, 2002. Along with being a farm wife and loving mother and grandmother, she was a kitchen assistant at the Hamilton Manor. Delores was an accomplished Tupperware dealer for 20 plus years and she also worked at the Aurora (NE.) Mall Hardware department for 15 years. Delores was a member of the Stockham (NE.) Community Church. She loved gardening, cooking, grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. She was a believer in "never turning away a guest for iced tea and a warm piece of pie." Delores loved attending social gatherings and was an avid volunteer. Delores was preceded in death by: parents; husband, George Kliewer and brother, Dwight Paschke. Those who remain to cherish her memory are: children, Dennis and his wife, Shirley of Bradshaw, NE., Denton and his wife, Barbara of Aurora, NE., Kenneth and his wife, Brenda of Belpre, KS., Rita Wilkins and her husband, Edward of Elkhorn, NE. and Gary and his wife, Dede of Ault, CO.; grandchildren, Tamara (Ryan) Wiens, Timothy Kliewer, Stacey Kliewer, Cara Kliewer, Taunya Kliewer, Christina (Terry) Queckboerner, Corey Kliewer, Kelsey (Jamie) Holguin, Daniel Wilkins, Shannon Wilkins and Jason and Brandon Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Mason Wiens, Timothy John Kliewer and Carmen Holguin and a host of relatives and friends. Interment was in the Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, NE. Published in The Grand Island Independent on October 15, 2012
