Nettie Adella "Della" Jakeman Taylor 1930 - 2012 Early Life: Della sprang into this world on July 18, 1930, in Manti, Utah, the only daughter of George Henry and Annie Hendrikje Ackerman Jakeman. She was cherished by five older brothers. Life's Work | Service | Interests: On January 23, 1953, Della married Ralph "Gordon" Taylor in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Provo, Utah, where they raised a rambunctious tribe of six children which included a son from her previous marriage. Della was a very caring neighbor who was always willing to lend a hand when needed. She made the best enchiladas this side of the border and was a whiz at any crossword puzzle you put in front of her. For a time, she could scare the best golfers off the course. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she also looked forward to spending time with her friends of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Della was a beautiful woman inside and out.
