Brother of Vaclav "James" Hajek and Vojtech "Albert" Hajek , who were born in the town of Knezice, county of Caslav, Bohemia, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic), the son of Joseph and Annie (Nowotny) Hajek. According to his probate file he died May 24, 1911 and was survived by his widow Barbara (age 60 years), of Garrison, Nebr., and four children: Mary Pavlinic (36) of Beaver Falls, Pa., Joseph (32) of Ravenna, Nebr., Pauline Dosek (28) of Poole, Nebr., and Frank L. (24), of Garrison. '''''''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), June 1, 1911, p. 8, col. 3 Garrison Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hayek, and children, of Ravenna, attended the funeral of Mr. Hajek's father, Frank Hajek, Sr., who was killed in a runaway accident last week while visiting his son at Ravenna. The body was brought to Brainard for burial. Joseph Hajek and family returned to Ravenna Monday. ''''''' Peoples Banner (David City, Nebr.), June 1, 1911, p. 3, col. 3 DIED. FRANK J. HAJEK was born August 15, 1845 and died May 25, 1910, aged 64 years, 9 months and 10 days. He was married to Miss Barbara Dolry in Ronov, Bohemia and came to America in 1876. He settled near Weston, Saunders county. About 16 years later he moved to Butler county where he resided until his death. At the time of his death he was visiting with a son near Rockville and while hauling some lumber the team became frightened and ran away, throwing him under the wheels from which both limbs were crushed. He did not regain consciousness but died three hours later at Rockville, Nebr. The funeral services were held in the Holy Trinity Catholic church in Brainard, May 27 and interment made in the Brainard cemetery. To mourn his loss the deceased leaves a wife and four children, Mrs. Mary Pavlinic, Beaver Falls, Pa., Mrs. Polina Dosek of Pleasanton, Nebr., Joseph J. Hajek, of Rockville, Nebr., and Frank Hajek of Garrison with whom deceased resided. __ p. 6, col. 3 BRUNO Mr. and Mrs. A. Hajek went to Brainard to attend the funeral of Mr. Hajek's brother.
