Brainard Clipper (Brainard, Nebr.), February 20, 1930, p. 1, col. 5 Mrs. Barbara Hayek Mrs. Barbara Hayek, 76, passed away last Thursday at the home of her son Frank, several miles southwest of town. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Holy Trinity church, in Brainard, and burial was in the Catholic cemetery. She was born in Czechoslovakia in May 1854, grew to womanhood and was married there. In 1878 she with her husband came to America, lived for a few years near Weston and then moved to this vicinity. Since the death of her husband 19 years ago she has resided with her son, Frank. She is also survived by one other son, Joseph, of Ravenna, and two daughters, Mrs. Dosek of Poole, Neb. and Mrs. Pavlinich of Canton, Ohio.
