Two more children were b. and d. after 1900; Omaha vs Garfield Co, NE ----------------------------------------------- RESPECTED ORD MOTHER GOES TO HER REWARD Death Claims Mrs. Mary Wachtrle On Monday Evening: Was Mother of 10 Children At 8:45 p.m. Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John J. Beran, Mrs. Mary Wachtrle, 65, passed to her reward after a lingering illness of two years. She had suffered with anemia and other complications and for the past three months had been bedfast. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. In the Ord Catholic Church. Rev. Father Lawler having charge, and interment was in the Catholic cemetery here. Mary Kruml, the daughter of Vaclav and Anna Kruml, was born Oct. 7, 1865 in Bohemia and came to this country when eighteen years old. Forty-five years ago in Omaha she was married to George Wachtrle and in 1904 they came to this section of the state, settling on a farm six miles east of Burwell. Fourteen years ago Mr. Wachtrle passed away and was buried in the Elyria cemetery and two years ago his widow came to Ord to make her home with her daughter, where she was tenderly cared for until the end. She is survived by five children, all of whom live in and around Ord. They are George Wachtrle, James Wachtrle, Mrs. Chas. Dana, Mrs. Louis Florian and Mrs. John J. Beran. One brother, James Kruml, a cousin, Joe Turek, fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Five children preceded their mother in death. Mrs. Wachtrle was a devout Catholic all her life and while living in Omaha was also a member of St. Anne's lodge.
