Bio

Frank S. Zulkoski was born in Valley County on September 17, 1897, the son of John and Marie Rynkowski Zulkoski. His education was received in Valley County where he grew to manhood. On January 27, 1927 he was married to Matilda Jurzenski at Elba. The couple farmed in the Elyria community until 1943 when they moved to a farm southeast of Scotia. They lived there until 1965 when they retired and moved into Scotia. Mr. Zulkoski has been a lifelong member of the Catholic faith. He has been critically ill since August and death came to him early Sunday evening, November 3rd at St. Paul. He was 77 years of age. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Lipinski, Mrs. Clara Martin, Miss Tillie Zulkoski, five brothers, Andrew, Jerry, Casper, John and James Zulkoski; one granddaughter Mary Augustyn. Survivors include his wife Matilda of Scotia, two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Margie) Becker, Brookfield, Illinois and Mrs. Gilbert (Margaret) Stefanowicz of Farwell; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Bill Zulkoski of Shelby, Nebraska and Doman Zulkoski of Knoxville, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Guzenski of Taylorville, Illinois, Mrs. Martha Suminski of Ord and Mrs. Theresa Guzenski of Grand Island, other relatives and friends.
