Ted Walahoski Ted Walahoski, 72, of Elyria, died Jan. 14, 1996 at his farm home west of Elyria. Funeral services were held Jan. 17 at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery with Military Rites conducted at the grave by the Ord American Legion and VFW. Mr. Walahoski was born Feb. 4, 1923 to Joseph and Anna (Grabowski) Walahoski at his family farm west of Elyria. He received his education at Dist. #48 in Elyria. He entered the Army on March 24, 1945, serving with the 1522nd Engineer Heavy Shop Company in the Asiatic pacific Theater company. He was discharged on July 24, 1946. On June 5, 1950 he married Margaret Conrad at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell. The couple farmed west of Elyria on the family homestead. He was a member of the church, the Ord VFW, Valley County Extension Board, American Shorthorn Association and was the recipient of the Honorary Chapter Farmer in the FFA organization. He enjoyed farming and raising shorthorn cattle. Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Elyria; two sons, Harry of Elyria and Jim of Ord; one daughter, Beverly(Mrs. Chuck) Smedra of Elyria; five grandchildren; and one brother, Arnold of Grand Island. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymond; and a sister, Elizabeth Baade. The Ord Quiz - Thur, Jan 18 1996
