Obituary of Edward C. Tvrdik Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Ord for Edward C. Tvrdik, 66, a Central City farmer and former resident of Valley County. Mr. Tvrdik died Aug. 22 1973 in a Grand Island hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. The Rev. Stanley Gorak officiated at the 10 am rites at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ord. Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Tvrdik was born Oct. 13, 1906 at Ord, to Frank and Anna Woracek Tvrdik. He attended Valley County Public Schools and Comstock High School. On Aug. 1, 1932 he married the former Agnes Rousek at Ord. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Central City. Survivors are his widow; his mother Mrs. Anna Tvrdik of Burwell; two daughters Mrs. Quentin (Mary Ann) Dahlstedt of Scottsbluff and Mrs. Kenneth (Carol) McCall of Ardmore, Okla., two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Walters of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Helen Kotre of Broken Bow; two brothers, Walter of Underwood, Ia., and Robert of Burwell and four grandchildren.
