Michael Zulkoski Sr., Ord Resident, 92 Michael Zulkoski Sr., 92, of Ord died Sun., May 19, 2002 at the Valley County Nursing home in Ord. Funeral services will be Thurs., May 23, at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial in the Ord Catholic Cemetery in Ord. Mr. Zulkoski was born June 7, 1909 south of Burwell to Peter and Anna (Michalski) Zulkoski. He was raised on a farm west of Sargent. He attended rural school west of Sargent in Custer County. He helped his father farm and also did construction work and picked potatoes in western Nebraska and had worked in a sugar factory at Ovid, CO. On Jan. 17, 1940 he married Marthann Busch at Loup City. They farmed for one year at Loup City and then moved to a farm five miles north of Comstock in the Longwood Community where they farmed for 32 years. In 1974 they retired and moved to Ord. Mr. Zulkoski enjoyed fishing, redoing harnesses and making riding bridals, going to horse drawn machinery sales, farm sales, cattle sales and going to polka and square dances. He made clocks out of old horse collars. Survivors include his wife of Ord; a son Michael M. Zulkoski Jr., of Ord; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, Casper, Sylvester, Floyd and Anton; and four sisters, Julia, Lucille, Barbara and Annie. The Ord Quiz - May 2002
