Bio

Custer County Chief, Broken Bow, Nebraska Aug 4, 1949 (Thursday), p.4:7 Sylvester Zulkoski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Zulkoski, was born January 11, 1911 and departed this life July 9, 1949, at the age of 38 years, five months, and 28 days in National City, Calif. When a small boy he and his parents moved to Sargent. Later he and his father moved to Loup City. On January 31, 1940 he was united in marriage to Hazel Dethlefs of Farwell. To this union were born two sons. He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister and two brothers, his mother and two of the children having died in a fire which destroyed their home in Sargent. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Hazel, his two small sons, Thomas Ray and Robert Paul; his father Peter Zulkoski of Loup City; three brothers,, Paul of Loup City, Casper and Michael of Comstock; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Synak of Alliance, Julia of Loup City and Mrs. Charles Smith of Lincoln. Funeral services were held at St Josaphat's church in Loup City with Rev. Henry Bednarczyk officiating. Pallbearers were Floyd Silver, Al Augustin, Lawrence Synak, Stanley Michalski and Enus Zulkoski. Internment was in St Josaphat cemetery at Loup City. Added by Patricia #47200326
