Bonnie Bell ------------------------------------------- Grace O'Connor Grace O'Connor, 58, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Ord, died Febr. 12, 1996. A Memorial Mass was celebrated at 2 pm Feb. 15, at Mother of God Church in Denver. Horan-McConaty Funeral Home of Denver was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. O'Connor was born Sept. 4, 1937, on a farm near Ord, to Frank and Helen (Nevrkla) Kokes. She attended District 40 School in Valley County through the fifth grade. The family moved into Ord after her father was killed in a tornado in 1947. She finished her education and graduated from Ord High School in 1954. Mrs. O'Conner worked for State Farm Insurance in Ord and then as a legal secretary in Omaha. She married Robert J. O'Connor on June 3, 1959. They lived in Omaha, Iowa City, Iowa, Garden City, N.Y., Littleton, Colo., Tempe, Ariz., Boulder, Colo., and most recently in Denver. She enjoyed reading and traveling and was active as a volunteer within the community. Survivors include her husband, Robert J. O'Connor, three children, Mary of Denver, Colo., Robert II of Dallas, Texas and Anne of Cortes, Colo., one brother, Ken Toshiba of Carroll, Iowa; and two sisters, Garnet Della of Grand Island and Gladys Golan of Ord and Chandler, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial gifts may be given to the Ord Education Foundation. The Ord Quiz - Thur, Feb 22 1996
