Bio
Inez Jones, 86 of Madison, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012. She was born January 29, 1926 in Mooresville, Texas to Ida May and Oscar Evelyn Collier. On June 14, 1943 she married Raymond "Monk" Jones and soon thereafter moved from Texas to Madison. Together they raised three daughters who all still reside in Madison. Mrs. Jones' working career was dedicated to the Morgan County ASCS office for 35+ years. In earlier years Mrs. Jones and her husband were avid bowlers and bowled on various leagues for several years. After their retirement, golf became their passion. They were members of several golf associations in the surrounding areas. She was a member of Madison Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband Monk Jones and five brothers and one sister. A Memorial Service was held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at A. E. Carter Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Ross and Dr. Charles R. Smith officiating. Morgan County Citizen; September 27, 2012 edition
