She is not dead, but sleepeth. * * * * Name: Nettie Ruth Williams Mankins Death Date: 02 Oct 1913 Death Place: Williamson County, Texas Birth Date: 19 Sep 1890 Birthplace: Williamson County, Texas Marital Status: Married Father's Name: King Columbus Williams Father's Birthplace: Williamson County, Texas Mother's Name: Medora Mildred Theving [Thwing] Mother's Birthplace: Darlington County, South Carolina Cemetery: Berrys Creek Cemetary Burial Date: 03 Oct 1913 Nettie "drowned in the overflow of Dry Berry's Creek in the home of her mother." Also lost that day were: Elizabeth Ellen Williams Grumbles, 4 Mar 1893-2 Oct 1913, w/o Otto Grumbles, d/o King Columbus Williams and Medora Mildred Thwing (King s/o Isaac Milton and Elizabeth Ellen Roberts; Isaac Milton s/o James B. and Sarah Elizabeth Coffey; James B. s/o Isaac and Sabra Jane Bruton; James B. was brother to Capt. I have not been able to determine who Johnie's parents were. He could possibly have been the son of James Edward Mankins and Mary Randolph (John Williams Mankins, b. 25 Jun 1884 in Georgetown, d. 15 Dec 1956, Plainview, Hale Co, TX, bur. Lockney Cemetery, Floyd Co, TX), but I'm just not sure. James Edward was the son of Sam and Dotia's first son, John W., who married Elizabeth Williams (d/o James B. and Sarah Elizabeth Coffey). Mitzi
