Beatrice C. Matous, 78, of Temple, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in a Temple Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, at St. Luke Catholic Church with Father James Ekeocha officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park. Beatrice Cleo was born in Meeks, Texas, to the late Benno and Alberta Green, and attended Meeks Schools. Beatrice married Edward Matous on May 24, 1952. She lived in the Temple area all of her life, and worked at Scott and White Hospital as a file clerk and at Dillards and J.C. Penney. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Ladies Altar Society, Eucharist Ministry, Golden Age Club and Texas Longhorn Foundation. Survivors include her husband, Edward, of Temple; sons, Gaylon Matous and his wife, Monica, of Cedar Park, and Brad Matous and his wife, Karen, of Parker, Colorado; daughters, Cynthia Barnes and her husband, Glenn, of Arlington, and Cheryl Meyer and her husband, Mark, of Temple; grandchildren, Trey Matous, of Cedar Park, Morgan, Mason and Mackenzie, of Parker, Colorado, Allison Conyngham Barnes and Taylor Gedwed Barnes, of Arlington, and Ashton and Jake Meyer, of Temple; brother, Glenn Green, of Temple; sister, Doris Provazek, of Temple; as well as other relatives and many friends.
