The Brainard Clipper (Brainard, Nebr.), June 29, 1916, p. 4, col. 5 Mrs. Jacob Pelan died last Sunday morning at her home six miles northeast of Brainard, from cramps, after a brief illness of only about five days, at the age of 67 years. Mr. and Mrs. Pelan had resided for some time past in a residence on their son Frank's farm, having moved there from Bruno. The funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock at St. Anthony's Catholic church at Bruno. Deceased leaves to mourn her departure husband and four children, three sons and one daughter, as follows: Mrs. Frank Semin, Frank, Joe and John Pelan. John resides in North Dakota and the others in Butler county. She was 67 years of age. Surviving her are her husband and four children, three sons and one daughter. The children are Frank, Joseph and John Pelan and Mrs. Frank Semin, all living in Butler county except John, whose home is in North Dakota. Funeral services were held in St. Anthony's Catholic church at Bruno on Wednesday, June 28.
