Bill Wadas Dies At Age 62 William Valentine Wadas Sr., was born February 15, 1921 in Valley county, Nebraska to Joseph and Veronica Dubas Wadas and died May 8, 1983 at Ord, Nebraska at the age of 62. Bill was born and lived his whole life on a farm nine miles northeast of Ord. He attended school at District #55. On January 7, 1956, he was married to Agnes Paszek in Hartford, CN. Bill had farmed most of his life and in 1957 started Wadas Fertilizer and propane. He was a member of the Ord Knights of Columbus, was past Faithful Navigator, was a member of the Elks, associate member of The Veterans Club, and a member of the LP Gas Association. Survivors include his wife, Agnes of Ord; five sons, Joseph of Ord, Cpl. Richard Wadas of Parris Island, SC, William Jr. and his wife, Lori of Ord. Michael of Ord and Stephen of Ord; one daughter, Mrs. Monte (Mary) Palu of Escondido, CA; three brothers, Sylvester, Emmanuel, and Benedict, all of Ord; one sister Julianna Sydzyik of Ord; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Adeline Hurt. Services were held Wednesday, May 11, 1983 at 4 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church in Ord with Father Stanley Gorak officiating. Audrey Novosad was the organist and Nancy Vogeler, the soloist. Active pallbearers were Henry Sydzyik, Gary Sydzyik, Jerry Bosse, Karl Wadas, Paul Wadas and Edward Hurt. Honorary pallbearers were the Knights of Columbus #2292 and the St. Josaphat 4th Degree Assembly Honor guard. Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Ord Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to St. Mary's School. The Ord Quiz - Thur, May 12 1983, Pg 8, Col 3
