JOHNNIE B. STAVINOHA LOUISE - Johnnie Stavinoha, 88, of Louise passed away on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007. He was born on July 16, 1918 in Wharton County to the late Louis and Mary Jurasek Stavinoha. He was an army veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion and VFW. He is survived by: his wife, Veronika Lichnovsky Stavinoha of Louise; daughter, Diane Davis of El Campo and husband Gary; son, Johnnie Stavinoha Jr. of Wharton and wife Rita; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Novosad and Annie Novosad, both of Ganado; and sisters-in-law, Rosie Stav-inoha of Ganado and Lucy Stavinoha of Louise. He is preceded in death by: brothers, Emil, Willie, Albert and Victor Stavinoha; and sisters, Lena Piwonka and Vlasta Kasper. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Triska Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 2 p.m. at St.Andrew's Catholic Church in Hillje. Burial will follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post 251.
