Daughter of Josef and Tony (Firic) Frana. Married Louis Vrana on November 21, 1916 at Plasi, Nebr. '''''''''''''''''''' The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), May 10, 1973, p. 3, col. 7 & 8 MARY VRANA SERVICES SATURDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Vrana, 90, were conducted Saturday morning at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Abie. Rev. Stanley Schieffer officiated. Pallbearers were Ernest and Kenneth Kuncl, Joe L. and Joe G. Vrana, Adolph Smetak and Clarence Roh. Mrs. Vrana died Thursday at Schuyler Memorial Hospital. She was born March 6, 1883, in Saunders County and lived most of her life in the Abie vicinity. She married Louis Vrana on Nov. 21, 1916, at Plasi. He died Dec. 3, 1963. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Emil (Adeline) Prochaska of Abie, Mrs. John (Lillian) Kopecky of Linwood, Mrs. Tillie Ustohal of Schuyler and Mrs. Ed (Lucille) Hein of David City; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Joseph Frana of Prague. The latter died Friday evening at the Svoboda Funeral Home where he had gone to attend his sister’s rosary.
