Bio
Son of Adolph & Lucy (Seburger) Janicek. He grew up in Butler County and attended District 41 schools. He married Loretta Schmit on April 7, 1926 at Presentation Parish in Bellwood. Leo farmed the home place from 1927 - 1960 then moved to town in 1963 before moving to David Place for the previous 8 years. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Bellwood where he held various church offices, the Knights of Columbus, School Board, CO-OP in Bellwood, and was appointed town judge. Leo enjoyed playing cards, bowling and coaching Legion and Bellwood baseball teams for many years He is Survived By: Son Gerald (LaVetta) Janicek of Bellwood, NE Son Melvin (Valma) Janicek of Columbus, NE 12 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. He is Preceded in Death By: Wife Loretta Janicek Father Adolph Janicek Mother Lucy Janicek Brother Albert Janicek Sister Emma Schmid Sister Hattie Schmit Sister Fedora Swanson
