Bio
Mary Lou Schitoskey was reared by her father and stepmother after the death of her mother with child in 1916. Her father was of Polish descent from Prussia/ Germany while her mother Tella Henry Schitoskey was from Blackfoot, Texas. She married Ernest Raymond McKenzie March 14, 1925 in the Ward community of Montalba, Texas. This union produced three daughters; Geraldine, Ernestine, Sarah Joy and a son Clayton McKenzie. The McKenzie's were farmers; she primarily ran the dairy and cattle operation while he farmed peanuts, corn and other various crops. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ernest McKenzie (1975); son, Clayton McKenzie (1984); sister Fannie Satterwhite and brothers, Luther Schitoskey and Frank Schitoskey. She is survived by daughters; Geraldine and husband Dennis Ray Ingram, Ernestine and husband J. A. Winkel, and Dr. Joy Senter McKenzie; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
