Son of Sullivan H. and Sarah Arrowsmith Cooley. He was a farmer all his life starting in Iowa and then moving to central Nebraska and then to the western part of Nebraska. Henry E. Cooley was born June 16, 1878, at Bayard Iowa. Died, December 12, 1922, at his home north of Morrill, Nebraska, aged 44 years, 5 months, and 26 days. Mr. Cooley came to Nebraska in 1897, and was married to Elsie Madison, December 25, 1903, at North Platte, Nebraska. To this union was born Howard Earl, Elmer Ray, and Vera Lavena, all at his bedside at the time of his death. In addition to his wife and children, he leaves to morn his loss, one sister and three brothers: Mrs. Jennie Allen of Cambridge, Charles w. Greswell of Freedom, Nebraska, James Greswell of Ravaili, Montana, Raymond Greswell of Illinois, also step-father, James Greswell of Freedom, Nebraska. When he was 6 months old his father died and 12 years later his mother died. Mr Cooley came with his family to Morrill in 1918. He bears a fine reputation as a good neighbor and citizen, a true man. His going is a great loss to his family who have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement. The services were conducted by the Reverand Clinton Senneff, in the methodist Epicscopal Church at 2 in the afternoon of December 15. The service at the grave was conducted by the Odd Fellows Lodge of which he was a member.
