GEORGE MACK, FORMER RESIDENT,PASSED AWAY George Mack, about 80, former resident of Petersburg, died at Grand Island Monday morning. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Catholic Cathedral in Grand Island. Mr. Mack lived in Petersburg for many years, having moved from here to Grand Island in the 1940's . He was a son of Jacob and Mary Ann Mack, and was born in York County, Nebr. The family came to Petersburg about 1896. He is survived by his wife, Marie, and a son George Jr., and a daughter Mrs. Eugene Bishop (Jane) all of Grand Island; also a twin sister Mrs. Lou Wright (Kate) of Norfolk; two other sisters, Frances Heck of Norfolk and Josie Mack of Grand Island; and two brothers, Roman Mack of Grand Island and Urban Mack of Minnesota. Attending the funeral from here were Jake Mack and Margaret Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Mack.
