The passenger list includes the following family from Austria: Francisca Wotava (age 48), Johann (25, farmer), Antonia (23, wife), Josef (21, farmer), Marianne (20, wife), and Catharine (14). 1880 census (Bone Creek Precinct, Butler County, Nebr.): Joseph Vatava (27, farmer, Bohemia), Antony (wife, 25, keeping house, Bohemia), Frank (son, 3, Nebr.), Mary (daughter, 5 months, Nebr.), and Fanny (mother, 50, Bohemia). 1900 census (Bone Creek Township, Butler County, Nebr.): Francis Votava (born April 1827 Bohemia, widow). '''''''''' Butler County Press (David City, Nebr.), November 30, 1911, p. 8, col. 2 Abie Grandma Votava, aged 84 years, died at the home of her son, Joseph, last Saturday afternoon and was buried on Monday in the Catholic cemetery at Abie. The funeral services were by Rev. W. M. Nemec.
